What is CORD

Congress on Research in Dance is an international non-profit interdisciplinary society for dance researchers. CORD publishes the Dance Research Journal, and sponsors annual conferences which distribute annual awards. The society was founded in 1965 as the Committee on Research in Dance,[1] and based at New York University. In 1991, it moved to the State University of New York College at Brockport. Membership generally includes dance academics from colleges and universities.
